Fortunately, I guess, there seems to be hundreds or even thousands of Matt Parker’s around the world. It’s a common name. But, as far as I know, I’m the only one living in Cottage Grove, Oregon (OR). I feel sorry any of those others out there who have suffered harassment or embarrassment because of the sick person stalking and attacking me and my family.
The stalker has used anonymous proxy severs and google groups or other anonymous Usenet posting services to flood the Internet with literally thousands of outrageous lies about me, my family or anyone he thinks is associated with me. These Usenet posts become available on many different web sites which in turn are spidered by all of the search engines. Search the web for Matt Parker on any search engine and see what you’ll find. Maybe you found this site that way. I hope so. It’s the purpose of this web site, after all. I don’t expect anyone to be other than passingly interested in this subject. But when there’s thousands of instances of ugly lies spread across the Internet about me, and about my family, I can’t just let it go unanswered.
Thanks to all of those who have contacted us to offer tips, useful information and support – it’s appreciated. Many have asked for an update. I still am unable to say much about it at this time, but am happy to report that something good is happening.
